This was my mandatory trip for 2016. I really like Spain and I already have been in some cities but I didn't knew the capital. I decided to go there anyway, alone or with someone. A few months before, my friend Nicole wanted to come with me if I went with her to a place of her choice later – Paris (my dear, you have no choice now, next year, we will be there). We didn't think twice!
On 3rd of June, 2016, we went to the land of "nuestros hermanos". Between several kilometers daily, visiting wonderful places, serenades in Plaza Mayor and a lot of adventures, Madrid was unforgettable. But why should I explain if you can read what we wronte on our travel journal?

After having slept two hours, we are already in the airport.
Scene 1: Leonor passes without problem in the control area ... Nicole passes the bag on the x-ray and what appears ?! CUTLERY! Wow Nicole, you bring KNIVES for a flight ... And we were concerned about the fluids ...

On the plane...
Oh well, let's just eat something that the airline will give us. Yeah. A Compal Essential (a portuguese juice brand) for breakfast that Leonor doesn't like. Good! She says: "They must be kidding with my face I'm hungry We're starting the landing. They are making fun of my face!.." Give food to this girl because she is not the same when she's hungry.
So we're landing and no breakfast. 55 minutes trip. So fast that didn't have slept.

After we land, we were looking for the supposed free shuttle to the hotel. Basically, we entered the first bus we saw. In conclusion, we went for a ride at the airport because it was not "our" bus. Among wait, open the suitcase to get the crackers, the correct bus finally appeared – a fancy Mercedes van.
We loved it. And we loved the hotel too.
Hopefully tomorrow the weather will be good because we have an awsome pool to go for a swim! Already installed in the bedroom, Leonor is doing the itinerary.

After three hours visiting the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, tired of walking, we're in Starbucks! It's very hot but very good!
We loved the Museum (8€ entry). Leonor didn't pay the entrance! - Benefits of still having the international student card ...
We're walking to the Parque del Retiro.

Tiredness is so much that I don't know what to write! We are sitting on a terrace where the service is being terrible. We just want the food to be good. Anyway.

After all, the food wasn't that good. It was nice but nothing special (15€ each one).
After an hour in the metro to get to the hotel, super tired - No, Nicole, still no one noticed that we were tired ... – we said: "We have arrived. We smoke a cigarette in the pool and we're going to bed early.". Uhm uhm, it's 1:19 a.m. and we are not lying. Between downloading photos, publish, smoke a cigarette in the pool in a bathrobe, white, huge, to the feet, showering ... finally we are about to go to sleep.
Tomorrow morning will be to relax in the pool.

PS: Also about today - after having given a show of selfies where all the people were looking at us laughing, we loved the Parque del Retiro (and we took many cute photos!). In the park we found a book fair, there were many people there! Distance traveled on average: 9 km.
GOOD AFTERNOON!
It's 4 p.m. and we sat down to lunch now. We woke up at 09:30 a.m., we had a great breakfast and we spent the morning in the hotel's pool. We took pictures with the pool just for us (we jumped the wall to enter because it was still closed). Until midmorning, the pool was just for us. Then some annoying kids came. We tanned a little and we went to the room, took a shower, dress us and we are on a terrace near the hotel now.

After visiting these two wonderful places we went to the Plaza del Sol.
We visited all the downtown, well almost... After some souvenier shopping, and more selfies through the street, I stole! Yes, I stole something to offer someone. What a shame! Unintentionally - uhm uhm ... - I walked away with an object under my arm. I panicked when I realized! - This is true! Poor girl who didn't even had dinner or rested.
We had dinner at McDonald's of Gran Vía. We took the Metro back to the hotel. We took ... more or less. This is because Leonor's ticket didn't work. She was saying that I had 'stolen' and she jumped the gates of the Metro!
In the hotel, ready to go to Kapital, we will take a taxi. The entrance in Kapital is 23€ with a drink. OK!
A disco with seven floors, each floor with a different style of music. A very nice space, we liked it!
On average 10 'groups' of young men flirting with us – it was you friend! - We met two italian 'friends', Marco and Alessio.
(I think I was roofied!)
In the hotel at 5:40 a.m. Okay, sleep. Uhm uhm. I woke up shaking uncontrollably, with an icy cold and feeling really bad ("Big LOL," says Leonor ...). ( "Clean the view" and shows me a picture of a young man - handsome – in a balcony with a beautiful view).
After twists and turns in bed, I got up and went to the bathroom. I could have died that Leonor didn't have noticed. Bitch!

Bags closed, we are leaving the hotel to enjoy the rest of the day. Our flight is at 11 p.m.
Arrival at the Debod Temple. Very beautiful.
(Leonor doesn't stop sneezing and crying) - Yes, I was with an allergic conjunctivitis ......
Therefore, we paid 2.50€ for a coffee that was supposed to be a short expresso and came filled to the top!
We went to Gran Vía where we have lunched the best thing we ate on this trip! - Chicken Tortillas. My dear friend is vegetarian so, first, the tortilla was undone...

Last minute shopping (souvenirs) made. Leonor was at the door smoking a cigarette and she had been confused with another type of people ... Love, problems of being so pretty. No one (including me) resists you, hihihi. Primark, the biggest hype in the world!

Back at the airport, where the conversations (normal for us) continue and the shame too ... Of course, we are soulmates. Thus ends our first (of many) trip together.

Location: No idea, we are now on the plane (Flight TP1019) to return to Lisbon.
What a trip! What a weekend! It is no exaggeration when I say that it was really an awsome trip! Three days with the best company I could have, with my best friend for years, with my soulmate. We enjoyed ourselves a lot, we walked a lot, got to know a fantastic city and ended the weekend - at least for me - with the certainty that I want (WE HAVE) to make more trips together!
So far, it was undoubtedly the high point of this year, I couldn't start the summer in a better way (and now I have no more excuses, I have to push myself in the Master!).
I think the highest points of this trip were:
- Shames in the Metro;
- Shames in the airport
- Souvenirs with ... story, so to speak;
- We realized that we have to stop to put us in embarrassing situations (but don't stop doing what we like - a lot!);
- We are so much alike that it's scary, and of course our moments and conversations are rarely of "normal" people.
Okay, I think that's it... because I don't have more time, we will start landing. I just want to say one more time that a loved the trip, the company and everything else that you can include in these parameters.
I confirmed that you really are a very special person to me and to my life. I really like you very much, just the way you are.
Dare you to not travel again with me... It doesn't matter where!
